I hope all of you have been doing wonderful. I thought I would give you an update on Linus (AKA Cookie). I know it’s been awhile (back in the end of Aug.), but life has been super busy with tons of walks on the beach, going hiking, and generally having grand times with Linus! He’s a far cry from when I first got him at 8lbs. He’s now 25lbs a big healthy, handsome, playful boy. I have given him the nickname Brutus, since he always plows into things head on, and nothing seems to faze him. All my friends say he’s always a happy dog when they see him and laugh at his white tipped tail. My neighbor calls him the paintbrush because of said tail.
Our training is going super great! Got the potty training down, the sit and stay, and laying down as well. We still need to work a little bit on our leash training, but hard to control the excitement when he knows we are heading out on a trail walk, or beach run. I’ve found I meet way more people on the beach because of my very friendly dog. I’m always getting comments on how handsome he is and how wonderful of a dog he is. I can’t help but agree. He has been wonderful! I totally lucked out with him and can’t thank you enough for letting me adopt him!
He looks so content in his new forever home!
Thank you so much to The Rescue Faerie for finding happiness for this cute and fun little guy!
Went down to Cannon Beach the day after the Volunteer Party and Sassy had the BEST time running all over the place with her new best buddy, Lex! She didn't know what to make of the ocean and kept her distance from the surf. Fine by me, since all Lex wants to do is bound into the water, time and again.
Sassy is so cute because she's convinced that everyone loves her so insists on running up to every person, every dog, every time - wagging, licking and jumping. I hated to do it but finally had to put on her leash the third day - it was exhausting, but fun, chasing her all over. Every person she met just couldn't stop gushing over this little lady. Lex couldn't figure out what the heck she was doing because he just likes to chase his ball and hang out by me.
The pics are her and Lex at the beach and them hanging out on the deck at home, keeping watch for squirrels. They are the BEST of friends and Lex has become very protective over her. Just reinforces what I already knew, she is simply a wonderful dog! Thanks, again, for introducing us!
ANASTACIA, now AVA
Ava/Anastacia was adopted tonight by a really sweet couple.
They have another dog and they got along well.
They got their other dog as a puppy so are aware of what it will be like with a puppy and training. But they instantly fell in love with her and I think will be a wonderful family for her.
Here is a photo of her giving her new sister a kiss. :)
Sincerely, The Rescue Faerie
CHAPO - MAX
Thought this might brighten your day.. They renamed him Max. He is sooo happy! Learning very quickly, very smart, and they are completely smitten with him. Sincerely, The Rescue Faerie
Tequila, also known as Nacho, was adopted today. The gal was super nice, single, but with lots of dog loving friends.
Worked at a doggie daycare for 3 years but couldn't have a dog due to school- so she has been waiting for the perfect one. They seemed immediately comfortable with eachother. She was so excited, and Tequila seemed so happy!
Mio's new mom came and adopted him today. She is a teacher and super sweet. She has another young cat so I think it is the perfect home for him. Mio liked her right away too.
We just adopted Rocky to a very loving family. The mom was nearly in tears she was so happy, and Rocky immediately loved the whole family. The mom is a teacher and will have the whole summer off with him to work on training and give him tons of love. They nearly bought every toy and treat in the LexiDog store for him! And the boys were very gentle and slow with him. A really great match! I think he will be very spoiled in his new home and loved forever.
